Cheese Dip - Microwave Monday

In my college dorm, with only my microwave for cooking, I was trying to figure out a snack to make for a late-night friend study session. I opted to make a cheese dip, served with chips, and it quickly became a hit! My microwave cheese dip was famous!

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz Velveeta Cheese Product

  • 1 teaspoon corn starch

  • 2 Tablespoons butter

  • 1/8 cup shredded cheese blend

  • dash of milk

  • Tabasco to taste

  • Chips

Procedure:

  1. Cube the Velveeta cheese and coat in corn starch. Place in a microwave-safe mug or ramekin

  2. Cube the butter then add to the Velveeta. Top with the cheese blend and milk

  3. Microwave on high for 60 seconds

  4. Mix with a small whisk and return to the microwave for 60 seconds

  5. Add Tobasco to taste microwave for an additional 30 seconds

  6. Serve with chips
